The article explains both the role and importance of simulation methods in the analytical work of law enforcement authorities. Usability of mathematical modeling methods such as matrix modeling or system dynamics modeling is proved along with traditional information analysis methods, in order to prevent extension of certain crime types and to enhance efficiency of law enforcement.
