        <p>This article analyzes the transformation processes of the former Soviet Union as an example of relations between Russia and Georgia on the stage of the Georgian state, after secession from the USSR. The article deals with the period of Zviad Gamsakhurdia in the context of the choice of development path and the formation of foreign policy concept in Georgia.</p>
