Article is devoted problems of dialogue of cultures, comprehension of sense of universal unity and fraternal affection on an example of the culturological concept of Walter Shubart. In the work «Europe and soul of the East» W. Shubart considers the antinomy of the East-West as spiritual opposition between Promethean and St. John cultures. Essence of the concept is the thought that ways to overcoming the antinomies lie not in the field of economy, politicians, etc., but - in spirit sphere; in sphere of aspiration of people to spiritually-moral transformation, in readiness of the person to bring sacrificial gift to something “more to the Higher”, than he.
