The aricle deals with problem of social and cultural identity in comparison with the phenomenon of regional identity which has the wider sence. The investigation is delivered on the material of Siberian region which is one of the most perspective regions in the development of the country. A special attention is paid to the essense of social and cultural analysis of the problem.
