The author analyzes specifics of the main ways to understanding the nature and essence of management in the history of philosophy, shows that modern development of problems of social management in a new cultural and historical context is possible on the basis of a dialogue of cognitive practice the essence of which is to achieve the unity of diverse in the philosophical understanding of the management.
