The article deals with the timeliness and pertinency of the Russian Eurasian vector selection in international strategy, as well as the genesis of geopolitical risks associated with this choice. According to the author, the Eurasian project is important today because Russia can create a unique phenomenon of attractiveness – “symphony of ethnicities” – on the territory of Eurasia, thereby ensuring not only the security of her national strategic interests, but also the safety of the global geopolitical configuration.
