      <abstract xml:lang="en">
        <p>Stylistics is a humanitarian science with a rich history and significant achievements, but also with a particular sensitivity to various changes. A large part of these changes at the present stage is related to the spread of artificial intelligence and its influence on the system of traditional stylistic classifications and values. In N.I. Klushina's monograph “(Neo)Stylistics in the Era of Artificial Intelligence”, it is shown what changes are occurring in stylistics under the conditions of a new axial age – a time when the system loses stability and transitions to a different mode of functioning. Each of the basic categories of stylistics (author, text, style) acquires new characteristics in the digital age. The category of the author requires reinterpretation in connection with the actions of artificial intelligence as a technological author. The technological author changes the categorical features of style. A humanitarian text created by humans enters into competitive relations with a text created by a neural network. Generative text only imitates style, averaging stylistic norms, as a result of which the text loses its human and spiritual qualities. Neo-stylistics of the artificial intelligence era can and should become an integrative transdisciplinary science. Phenomena such as style, text, human author, and artificial intelligence author can only receive a systematic description by incorporating the achievements of various humanitarian sciences into stylistic research, while preserving the basic principles of stylistics – the functional conditioning of linguistic means in a text, variability, and intentionality. The author of the monograph concludes that in the expanding technological space, it is precisely the human being, their living thought conveyed in language, that should become the measure of value for all communications of the new era.</p>
