The article observes the progression of political science development in Sweden and defines the position of the science among other disciplines. The current topic is underdeveloped in Russian science and definitely requires deeper research. The attempt of analysis of the internationalization process currently ongoing in Swedish political science is absolutely new. The purpose of the current work is to observe and determine the periods of development of political science in Sweden and to identify the special features of politology during the modern period.
