The article deals with the main trends and problems in the evolution of the Russian-Turkmenistani relations  in  the  political,  economic,  energetic  and  humanitarian  fields  under  the  presidency  of  Dmitry Medvedev. It analyses the issues of the establishment of the strategic partnership between the two states.
