This report contains an overview of the notion of “translation competence”, its components, the model of two-level formation of translation competence: a) the initial course of translation with a pilot textbook for the second-year students involving electronic resources for the independent work; b) acquisition of the additional qualification “Translator in the field of professional communication”.
