        <p>The study is devoted to the collective memory about Saint Prince Vladimir, which covers the Russian society of the second half of XIX – beginning of XXI century. In this paper the author sets the list of the main sources of historical memory. The researcher analyzes educational literature, fiction (especially historical fiction) and network resources, which contain historical narratives about Prince Vladimir Svyatoslavich. The author examines the trends of changes of the heroic character in the collective memory. The historian assesses the prospects, which the character has to ingoing into the pantheon of the most popular national heroes.</p>
