The paper analyzes the historical and axiological foundation of Russian culture associated with the genesis and formation of some of the major components of the national idea. in this regard, considers such ideological currents as conservatism, liberalism, populism and Eurasianism. The conclusion about the existence of the most important values of national spiritual and social culture of patriotism, interfaith and interethnic peace.
