Problems in the study of focusing properties of the term (based on linguistic terminology)

This article is devoted to some important issues in the study of orientive properties of the term. The following problems are reviewed: the definition of orientation; the classification of the terms on their orientive properties; absolute and relative orientation of the term; the study of the relative orientation of the term; the methods of researching orientation.
