The aesthetic ideas of European Romanticism in the philosophy of Symbolism

The paper is devoted to the comparative analysis of aesthetic and philosophical ideas of European Romanticism and Russian Symbolism in a context of the development of European and Russian culture in the end of XIX - the beginning of XX century. Particular attention is paid to the interpretation of the concept «synthesis of arts» in the traditions of Romanticism and Symbolism.
