The article analyzed the historical and philosophical works of one of the followers of Siberian regionalism (oblastnichestvo) Seraphim Serafimovich Shashkov (1841-1882). Address to the history of Western philosophy to better understand the origins of the philosophical doctrine oblastnichestva.
