The article has been made a historical excursus to the theory of collective development during the soviet and post-Soviet period. There also have been set forth the views of interconnection and interaction of individual with a collective of outstanding pedagogues A.S. Makarenko and I.P. Ivanov. In these pedagogical conceptions are stated collective action and relationships that assure the unity of socialization, individualization and self-realization of a person. On the basis of psycho-pedagogical analysis of these theories they are confirms its actuality and practical importance.
