The article examines the development of Finland’s foreign policy during the presidency of U.K. Kekkonen. Author studies essential aspects of U.K. Kekkonen international policy permitted to find the balance between East and West. Considering the example of U.K. Kekkonen, author emphasizes on the role of the person in international relations in general.
