Modern China's foreign policy strategy in the Arctic

The article examines the policy of China in the Arctic region. At the moment, the Chinese government has not taken any official document, which would be clearly spelled out the Chinese strategy in the arctic. This strategy is being developed. The following main directions of China’s Arctic strategy: natural resources, their exploration and technology industrial development, the development of sea routes and transportation, scientific expeditions, participation in international scientific and expert discussions on Arctic issues, participation in international law, international legal activities clarify and institutionalize the legal status of the Arctic, politicians and diplomats in the Arctic and the search of partners for the development of the region, to discuss the military-strategic situation, prospects and forms of military presence of China in the Arctic.
