She graduated from the philological faculty of Al-Farabi Kazakh State University in 1985. In 1993 she defended her thesis for the degree of candidate of philological sciences in the Russian language and literature specialty at Al-Farabi Kazakh State University (Alma-Ata). In 2004б she defended her thesis for the degree of Doctor of Philology in the Сomparative historical, typological and comparative linguistics specialty at Al-Farabi Kazakh State University (Alma-Ata). She taught at the Russian language department of the philological faculty of Al-Farabi Kazakh State University. Since 2004 she is a Professor of the Department of Russian Linguistics of L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University (Astana). Since 2005 — Dean of the Faculty of Philology of the same faculty. Since 2019 — Professor at the Department of Theoretical and Applied Linguistics, Faculty of Philology, L.N. Gumilyov ENU (Nur-Sultan). She lectured at the University of Cardinal Stefan Wyszynski (Warsaw, Poland), at the Hanukkah University of Foreign Languages at the Institute of Central Asian Studies (Seoul, Korea), at the M. Tank Belarusian State Pedagogical University (Minsk, Belarus), at the Sumgait State University (Sumgait, Azerbaijan).

Research interests: comparative linguistics, sociolinguistics, linguoculturology, teaching languages methodology.
