Main research interests are located in the fields of text linguistics, discourse studies, they particularly include multimodality, scientific communication.

Education:

1990 Uljanovsk State Pedagogical University, Degree in  Linguistics. Major: German, Minor: English.

1992-1996  Herzen State Pedagogical University of Russia, Saint Petersburg,

PhD in Linguistics, Thesis on peer reviews in scientific communication.

1998-2000  Herzen State Pedagogical University of Russia, Saint Petersburg,

Habilitation, Thesis on intertextuality in scientific communication.

Positions held:

1998-2012 Professor; Professor and Chair in Translation Studies, Professor and Chair in the German and Scandinavian languages at the Faculty of Linguistics, Saint Petersburg State University of Economics and Finance.

Present position:

2012 - present Full Professor of Applied Linguistics, Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University.    

Visiting Professor: Minsk State Linguistic University, Belarus; Vasyl Karazin Kharkov National University, Ukraine; Yerevan State Linguistic University, Armenia; National University after L. Gumilyov, Kazachstan.
